Boss Tweed's Diamond Pattern Vest and Houndstooth Trousers
Boss Tweed was the very quintessence of what was wrong with New York in the 1850s and 60s. He would stop at nothing to promote his political agenda, and often without regard to the consequences. But in the words of Amsterdam, "For those of us trying to be thieves, we couldn't help but admire him." For those of us who appreciate nineteenth century fashion, we can't help but admire Tweed's most memorable wardrobe pieces like this vest and pair of trousers he wears throughout the film. The vest was used in scenes 70, 111, 114, 180, 181, 199. Size 42. Brown and Black Diamond Pattern. Button-up front. The trousers were used in scenes 10, 14, 15, 16, 93, 111, 114, and 126. Size 46/32.5. Houndstooth Pattern. Button-up front.
