Bones: Agent Seeley Booth's Fake Death Memorial
In an emotionally telling moment, FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth jumped in front of a bullet meant for Dr. Temperance Brennan, his then-partner who eventually became his wife, after a female stalker tried to eliminate her as competition. As an ironic twist, the event happened when Dr. Brennan was singing Cindi Lauper's famous song, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." After he was shot, Dr. Brennan raced to his aid before firing the shot that killed the stalker. This dramatic scene happened toward the end of "The Wannabe in the Weeds," which was season three, episode fourteen. But the real story is what happened next. In order to catch a killer after him, Agent Booth faked his death, and even attended his own funeral. The plan appeared to have been a success, until Dr. Brennan cold-cocked him during the funeral during "The Pain in the Heart," which was season three, episode fifteen, after his mourning partner realized he was in fact alive. This is a memorial from Agent Booth's service, and was used as a prop for the production.
